Alex Stevenson is an image-based artist and poet based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Hailing from rural Maryland, they are inspired by the nature on the Chesapeake bay, their community, and their own life and personal history. As an interdisciplinary artist, photographer, and poet, Stevenson strives to push the boundaries of artistic genres and instead engage with raw and unfiltered examinations of humanity and queer culture across their work. Their creative process gives them the space to challenge rigid artistic and societal expectations, and to embrace fluidity, contradiction, and undefinability.
